Ketchum and Sun Valley are fortunate areas in Idaho that lie in the “path of totality,” where a full eclipse will occur on August 21, 2017. Our community is expecting and preparing for possibly its largest influx of visitors. This extraordinary moment marks the first total eclipse of the sun visible from all 48 contiguous United States since 1979 and the first visible from coast to coast in the US since 1918.
Meetings have been scheduled for local businesses to help them prepare for the arrival of many visitors and to inform them of emergency planning and events surrounding this amazing and unique opportunity to showcase our area. Representatives from the cities of Ketchum and Sun Valley, Sun Valley Company, St. Luke’s Wood River Hospital, U.S. Forest Service and emergency personnel will be present at the meeting to provide details and answer questions.
Please let us know which meeting you or a representative of your business will attend by r by calling 727-5077 or RSVP.
